He pulled the guy over for DUI. He put the cuffs on
him because the joint made a sobriety test unnecessary;
they can do a breath or blood test at the station.
I have no sympathy for drunk drivers. I didn't even
before I was handicapped by one. I drink; I don't
drink and drive. If you think DUI should be legalized,
then fuck you. Seriously, fuck you.

I didn't even get probation until the second offense.

Hey badankle, how'd court go?
BadAnkle
It was a total anticlimax! They had all the DUI cases
muster in a small classroom on the ground floor of the
courthouse. No judge was present. René Smith, an
assistant DA (who is prosecuting Tim’s case), gave a
brief talk about defendants’ rights, and explained the
options available to them. They could plead not guilty
and go to trial, plead guilty and be sentenced that day
or continue the case to 5 April. Tim opted for a
continuance.
A few items of interest:
Tim still has a brace on his leg, but is walking
without crutches or a cane. In fact, he doesn’t even
have much of a limp.
Tim looked like crap. In my last text message to him
some months back, I suggested he wear a suit or at
least a sport coat and tie when he goes to court.
Instead, as last time, he was wearing a casual dress
shirt and khakis. Also, he has really let himself go;
he’s put on weight, with a noticeable potbelly and
jowls. I could not see if he got his teeth fixed yet;
he wasn’t smiling…
When Tim arrived, my Mom and I were waiting outside the
room, as was everyone else. He made only brief eye
contact with me, and did not speak to me. He merely
grunted when I told him the room was open. After a few
uncomfortable (for him) moments, he walked back down
the hall and around a corner, out of line-of-sight, to
wait for the arraignment to start. I don’t think he
expected to see me there, particularly with a cast and
crutches.
It is my opinion that Tim opted for a continuance out
of a desire to postpone the inevitable. My mother
thinks he may be trying to fatten himself up for jail.
I can’t imagine any legal reason his halfwit Public
Defender would need the time, except maybe to learn how
to operate his tape recorder (he had trouble with it at
the preliminary hearing).
On our way out, Mom and I stopped into the DA’s office
to discuss the possibility of a damage award in this
case. It looks pretty good. I can claim everything
except lost wages in damages. That means my

CIS(Computer Info systems) its not at all what I
thought it would be. I really can't believe they are
going to give me a degree for the basic bullshit
I'm learning. I'm also working part time towards a bach
in history. I only take 1 class a semester now towards
it so I can get done with the CIS but after I get done
with CIS I'm gonna move on to complete my history. I'm
not very mathmatically oriented, but the guys who are
do very well in the program. my best firend who was in
norfolk is in the porgram with me and is maintaining a
damn near perfect grade with no effort. The best thing
about CIS is the ability to name your price. I still
have this semester and next to go but the recruiter are
already starting to call. The average salary around
here(indiana) is 50,000+ to start. its not great but
its not terrible either. places like Texas and Colorado
are starting around 75,000 and capping out at 130,000
after 5 years. its one of the highest needed degrees
for the next 15 years. I would take a good look at it
if I were you.

My Dad taught Psychology at Muhlenberg College. Once,
when I was about 15, we were in line in the supermarket
and my dad was chatting with the young woman in line

The cashier, who was a complete tool, asked my Dad what
he taught, and my dad convinced him that he was the
